Electric propulsion amendments added to NMEA 2000 Standard
Changes reflect growing adoption of electric propulsion systems and onboard battery management systems in watercraft
The Maryland, US-based National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) announced early Wednesday that it has released a series of new NMEA 2000 network messages (PGNs) to address the growing adoption of electric propulsion and onboard battery management systems in both leisure and commercial marine vessels.
